RAW’s Bostonian Series By Jonah Miller

For the fall of 2010 and into the future, RAW will have a three board series available entitled “The Bostonian Series” executed by Jonah Miller. Jonah has been an advocate for the brand since 2006 and it is very satisfying to release a project with his design work attached to it. The series contains three boards, all of which are natural with a black and white graphic on the bottom and an ebony top veneer with a simplified version of the graphic above the back truck hole pattern.

First in the series is Jonah’s rendition of the Custom House Clock Tower in Downtown Boston. This building is sentimental to Boston area skateboarders because it overlooks Long Wharf (aka Aquarium). The spot is where the majority of our initial “brand meetings” took place. The Clocktower is available in sizes 7.625, 8.000 and 8.400.

Next is the Old North Church, which has a great historical value to all Americans. The Old North Church is the building at the top of which the signal that ignited the American Revolution was displayed. The Old North Church skateboard is available in sizes 7.500, 7.750 and 8.125

To finish up the series, Miller worked on a depiction of the Old State House, the building outside of which the Boston Massacre of 1770. Today the Old State House sits amidst some of Boston’s largest modern day buildings, with a traffic island outside where its original courtyard was located. The island is marked with a star inside of a circle at the exact location where the six victims died. The Old State House is printed on three shapes: 7.880, 8.000 and 8.250.

The Bostonian Series is now available at 622 Somerville Avenue and in The RAW Online Store. It has shipped to accounts worldwide and is due to arrive at those supporters this coming week. RAW would like to thank Jonah Miller for his efforts on this project. We look forward to showcasing more of his work in the future.
